Kuva Coffee’s 20th Anniversary: a celebration of Tower Grove Park.

We think coffee tastes best outside. Trading brick and mortar for trees and sky, Kuva Coffee set up shop at Tower Grove Park more than a decade ago. The Market has become a landmark in St. Louis for the vendors that circle around the Roman Pavillion every Saturday from April to November, and for the park itself. Towering Magnolia trees, gently winding paths, and the smell of fresh cut grass are the perfect pairing to Kuva’s rich, deep roasts. For our 20th anniversary, we’ve teamed up with local artists to celebrate our favorite – and only – outside cafe. Grab a cup of coffee, explore the park, feel the love.

Your contribution to this project will be part of a collection of 10 pieces that will be sold by Kuva Coffee at the Tower Grove Farmers Market April—November, 2023.


ELEMENTS TO INCLUDE / Your design should respond to the theme, Coffee Outside, and celebrate Tower Grove Park in a way that’s meaningful to you. It can be specific to the Market or about the park in general. Pieces that are big enough need to include the 20 Years of Kuva badge (downloadable with colors below) - it should be small and one color.

COLOR / Your design should use the colors from the palette below. The orange in the top row is Kuva’s main brand color.

1/21—1/25 - Designer Invitations
The group of designers contributing to this series will be invited and pieces chosen.

1/25—2/25 - Design Time
Have fun! Please share and progress with David on slack. Small changes might be requested but in general we want you for your unique perspective so any creative direction will be minimal.

2/25 - Designs Complete
All designs must be completed by February 25th so pieces can be produced by the TG Market launch on 4/1. When your design is complete, please send original packaged files in the Friends slack channel for this project, which you’ll be invited to shortly.

4/1—11/5 - Tower Grove Market Season
The designs will be sold at the TG Market all season long.

Compensation

COMPENSATION / Contributors will be paid for their time and talent - the payment terms will be agree to between each contributor and Friends For Good. Contributors will also be given a sample of their produced work as a thank you for participating in the project! Friends will feature contributors and their work on our site and social channels. Any documentation of the project in photos, video, or press will credit the contributors. We’re going to tell everyone how great you are!

OWNERSHIP / Ownership of work produced for this project will be negotiated with each contributor.

Kuva Coffee has been a fixture of the St. Louis coffee scene for 20 years, and a staple of the Tower Grove Farmers Market since its beginning in 2007.

To say thank you to the place they’ve loved for so long, they’re donating 100% of the proceeds from items in the series to Tower Grove Park and the Tower Grove Farmers Market. We’ll keep contributors updated on the impact of this project throughout the market season.
